Take a test
How to start, answer and submit a test in Edulink Assessment.
Find the test
Go to Assigned tests in Edulink Assessment(opens in a new tab). Here you see the tests your teachers have given you.

| In progress | The test is open. You can start. |
| Submitted | You have submitted. |
| Completed | The test has closed. |
Archived tests are not shown in the list. Turn on Show archived to see them.
Select the test to see when it opens and closes.
Start the test
Select Start test when the test is open. The test starts right away.
If the test says Secure browser, you must have Safe Exam Browser installed before you start. See Use the secure browser.
Answer the tasks
- Your answers are saved automatically. At the top you see Saved, Saving... or Not saved!.
- If the test is split into pages, you change page with Previous page and Next page, or with the numbers at the bottom. Your answers come along when you change page.
- With Undo and Redo you move back and forth through the changes to your answers.
- If your teacher has added Bookmarks, you find the websites at the top.
- If your teacher has restricted pasting in a text task, you cannot paste text. If you try, you see Pasting is not allowed.
Spell check
If your teacher has turned on spell check, you see the spell check language at the top. Select it to change language, or choose Off to turn the spell check off. Misspelled words are underlined. Right-click the word to see Spelling suggestions.
If you lose your connection
Your answers only live in the browser until they are saved. Do not close the test if it says Not saved!. When you are back online, select the text and choose Save now.
The time
When there are 5 minutes or less left, you see a countdown at the top. When the test closes, it says Test ended, and you can no longer change your answers. If you have started the test without submitting, you can still submit the answers that were last saved. Select Submit last saved answers, either in the test or on the test's page. The test is then registered as submitted after the deadline.
Submit
Go to Submission
Go to Submission at the bottom of the test. If the test is split into pages, select Submission after the last page.
Tick
Tick I have checked that all tasks have been answered. and I understand that I cannot make changes after submission.
Submit
Select Hand in. When it says Test submitted, you are done. Select Exit.
You cannot change your answers after you have submitted. If you submitted too early, you must ask your teacher.
If something goes wrong

| Failed to save | Check your connection. Select Not saved! at the top, and then Save now. |
| Your session expired | Log in again, and then submit. |
| This test must be conducted with a safe browser | Start the test in Safe Exam Browser. See Use the secure browser. |
