Publish the feedback
Give pupils their grade, comments and points when you have finished grading.
Pupils see nothing of the grading until you publish the feedback. Feedback is published per pupil, so you can publish as you finish each one.
Choose what the pupil sees
While you grade a pupil, open Settings and choose under Display options:
- Show points: whether the pupil sees the points on each task. Off by default.
- Show answers: whether the pupil sees the correct answers and the model answers. On by default.
The pupil always sees the grade and the overall comment.
Publish
For one pupil: turn on Published in the Feedback section while you grade the pupil.
For several pupils: go to Submissions, tick the pupils and choose Publish feedback. With Select all you publish for the whole class at once.
The pupil now sees Feedback available and can select View feedback. See See your feedback.
Unpublish
Choose Unpublish feedback in Submissions, or turn off Published while you grade the pupil. The feedback is also unpublished if you reopen the submission.
Both publishing and unpublishing are saved in the history.
The submission before the feedback
With the setting Let pupils view their submission immediately, pupils can read and download their answers as soon as they have submitted, before you have published the feedback. See Test settings.
