Pupil status
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Not started | The pupil has not opened the test. |
| Started | The pupil has opened the test, but not submitted. |
| Submitted | The pupil has submitted. Under the badge you see whether the pupil submitted themselves, submitted after the deadline or a teacher submitted. In list view, select the info icon next to the badge. |
You also see when the pupil Started and Ended. You can search for pupils and filter by status.
When the deadline passes
The test is not submitted automatically when it closes. After the deadline the pupil cannot change their answers, but the pupil can still submit the answers that were last saved. This is then recorded as submitted after the deadline.
Pupils who have not submitted, you can submit for. See below.
Submit on behalf of a pupil
Use this when a pupil has not submitted themselves, for example because time ran out.
- Find the pupil on Monitor.
- Select Submit on behalf of next to the pupil. In list view you find the option in the menu.
The answers that were last saved are submitted and graded automatically. The submission is marked as submitted by a teacher.
Reopen a submission
Use this when a pupil has submitted too early, or needs to continue.
- Find the pupil on Monitor.
- Select Reopen submission next to the pupil. In list view you find the option in the menu.
The pupil can then continue and submit again. Feedback you have published to the pupil is unpublished. If the test has closed, you must also give the pupil an Own schedule for the pupil to be able to change their answers. See Accommodations for individual pupils.
Events for a pupil
Select Events for pupil next to the pupil (in list view History in the menu) to see everything that has happened with the pupil on the test, for example when the pupil started, and whether it was in the secure browser. See History.
Names are shown on Monitor
Monitor always shows pupil names, even when anonymous grading is turned on.
