Version history

See what the test looked like before, and bring back a whole version or a single task.

Edulink Vurdering keeps earlier versions of the test. If you or a colleague deleted or changed something by mistake, you can see what the test looked like before and bring it back. Nothing is lost.

Open the version history

  • In the editor: select Saved at the top right, then Version history.
  • For a writing test: select Version history at the bottom of the Task section on the test's page.

You see a list of versions, newest first. Each version shows when it was edited and who edited it. The top one is Current version, the test as it is now.

Some versions have a label. Before restore is the test as it was just before someone brought back an earlier version. Before conversion to writing test is the test as it was before it was converted to a writing test.

View an earlier version

Select a version to open it. You see the test as pupils would have seen it. Tasks that differ today are marked Not in the current version or Differs from the current version.

Bring back a single task

In a test with multiple tasks you can bring back a single task. Select Restore this block next to the task. If the task was deleted, it goes back into the test. If it was changed, it is replaced with the old version. The rest of the test stays as it is.

Bring back a whole version

Select Restore

Select Restore at the top right of the version you want to bring back.

Read and confirm

The dialog tells you what happens to the test and the pupils. Select Restore to confirm.

The test becomes what it was in that version. The version you replaced is in the history with the label Before restore, so you can undo.

When pupils have started

The dialog tells you if pupils have started the test, and how many have answered tasks that are removed or come back. The answers are not deleted, but they are hidden until the task is back in the test.

Who can use the version history

Everyone who can edit the test can see its versions and bring them back. For an archived test you can see the versions, but not bring them back.
